Three Images

Creative Work

This is a charcoal still life I drew of an assortment of objects. It was inspired by Dutch still life paintings and contains an animal's skull and a shell in the background with a lamp, a bottle and a cut crystal glass in the foreground. This was the first time I used charcoal and I have loved using charcoal ever since then.

Great Piece of Architecture

This is The Paris Opera (1862-75) by Charles Garnier. The architecture of the building is interesting as the ornament on the building mirrors the luxury of its initial wealthy visitors. Thus drama is found within the theatre and in the architecture itself.

Original Photograph

I took this photograph on New Years Eve 2017 from Circular Quay Sydney. It shows both the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House during the fireworks.
